When Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town came out in July of 2005, I was so excited to get it. I had loved Friends of Mineral Town so much, and the thought of being a girl in the game and able to marry the guys (read: Kai and Gray) made me happy. I got it shortly after it came out and I played it constantly. But as much as I loved the game, I hated the title. It was annoyingly long and the acronym MFoMT was a pain as well. I mean, FoMT just rolls off the tongue, but the extra M just completely throws off the groove! So I sat on my bed and I thought, and I came up with a solution. It never occurred to me to share this revelation until one day when my friend called:
Her: Hey, Tea-chan!
Me: Hey! What's up?
Her: Nothing much. Bored. You?
Me: Just playing MoFo.
Her: MoFo?
Me: Yeah. More Friends of Mineral Town.
Her [laughing]: You call it MoFo?
Me: Yeah, I didn't tell you? I can't stand saying M-F-o-M-T; it's such a clumsy acronym. So, I came up with MoFo. More Friends Of.
Her [laughing]: Oh, my God, I love it!
Me: Isn't it better?
Her: It's so much better. [laughs] MoFo.
And so, MoFo spread among my HM circle, as spread as it could be between four friends. And now that I'm doing the whole "journal" thing, I should make this announcement...
*stands on podium*
As lovers of Harvest Moon For Girls, we have been saddled with painfully unmarriable bachelors (Carter, Zack, etc.), unimpressive "special" bachelors, an unimaginative title, and an unpronounceable acronym. We can't do anything for the formers, but we can do something about the latter. I implore all of you to forevermore refer to More Friends of Mineral Town as MoFo!
Join the MoFo revolution! Let's make MFoMT a thing of the past.
Thank you. ^_^

It rolls out of our mouths much easier. And, as my grandmother would say "It sounds 'funky'"

We all have a chance to change, but then again, who said changing made us better?
Mofo is so much easier. It gives me this mental image of a Harvest Character with an Afro. He should be Kai's brother.
